Welcome to my Substack space!
My exclusive Gratitude Addict blog....hooray!
Hey there, gang! Welcome to my Substack space! Glad you’re here and that you’re interested in my message. I love to share it with anyone willing to listen because it is a story of coming from the deepest of despairs to a joyful and meaningful life.
How did I do it?
Well, a lot of work, but mainly….GRATITUDE has changed my life.
I’ll take you along on my journey to joy. Anyone willing to read can walk with me. Life is hard…there’s no question.
But we can tackle it together because we are worth happiness!
This
This is tonight’s wardrobe! My 25-year-old daughter, Riley, decided that we should get matching Christmas jammies as a family. She called them “onesies”. So I searched and ordered these….what do you think? I quite like it and it’s comfortable!
I am still incredibly humbled over the goings-on of this week. 9 years ago I was quite literally drinking myself to death. Taking pain meds, anxiety meds, sleep meds (all narcotic), and drinking vodka on top of it was the exact space I was in. There was nowhere to go but down, and that’s exactly what I did.
But that’s a story for another post. And it’s a good one…lots of ugly warts and heartwrenching, stripped-to-the-bone pain….we’ll talk about that another time.
But today I celebrate the fact that my new book “5-Minute Gratitude Journal for Teen Boys” is out on the market and is #5 in young adult new releases today! I can hardly believe the way my life has gone, and all because I shifted my attitude to one of appreciation and abundance. I relinquished control of my situation and allowed what was going to happen to take place. I owned my truth….and I took that truth and turned it into a message of resilience and hope.
And here I am today….still a hot mess, but in a very sober, goofy way. Life has so many ebbs and flows, but as long as we learn to surf the waves they won’t come crashing down on us!
Let’s take this journey into GRATITUDE together! Ready….set….GO!
Love,
Lauren
